So it has been a busy holiday season here at $O$. We have been so busy we forgot to keep the blog updated! Sorry about that. 

Things have been busy for us both personally and professionally. We had a lady get in touch with us in Columbia, SC who needed presents for her kids. She was barely making ends meet and decided to reach out to us to see if we would help make this Christmas bright for her children. We got some toys together and were able to deliver them so that her kids didn’t have to go without presents under their tree on Christmas Day. 

Also on Christmas Day, our ever generous co-founder Alan went out and spend the day at a soup kitchen in Oakland. He helped them serve food and handed out 30 $O$ cards as he spoke with the people there at the shelter. We heard back from quite a few of those folks and were able to help some of them with things that they needed.

In other news, I have applied to grad school. I already have a Master’s degree, but it was always the plan for me to go back and get my doctorate. Things here at $O$ are finally at a point where I can do that. I wasn’t planning on going in 2020, but NYU’s application deadline wasn’t until January 20th, so I got everything together and sent it in. If I get in, I will be doing my dissertation on the work we are doing here at $O$.
