$O$ TEXT: 682-2-HELP-ME Menu
Black Lives Matter

[…] The percentage of Black or African American people who are homeless is more than seven times higher than the county’s black population. It is nearly six times higher at the state level.

Homelessness disproportionately affects Black people. We know this. $O$ will be changing its mission to focus primarily on Black homelessness FIRST as our priority going forward, especially Black men.

We will work to support Black women by donating and participating to help empower homeless women and children.

For people who would like to participate: you are welcome whether homeless or not; however we first would like to acknowledge that Black and brown people have been disproportionately affected by poverty, racism, and systematic racism.
