Health care expenses make up a large part of the debt in the US. They can and have bankrupted many people, which is horrible. People have broken the bank trying to save their lives. Sometimes, sick people have refused to go to the hospital due to the expense. With a pandemic out there, this cannot happen. Not going to the hospital makes the pandemic worse. But many are in a situation where they cannot afford the expense of treating COVID.

Fortunately, that is no longer an issue. The government is now reimbursing medical expenses for the treatment of COVID for uninsured individuals. Let me say this again because this is important.

The US government is covering expenses for testing, treatment, and vaccine administration for uninsured individuals.

This was passed recently but was not publicized. However, this information needs to get out there, so we are making it public.

A news article about this can be found here: https://khn.org/news/hospital-bills-for-uninsured-covid-patients-are-covered-but-no-one-tells-them/

Once again, if you have COVID or think you have COVID and are uninsured, please go to the hospital for testing and treatment. Your expenses will be covered.
